Class blog – 28th October

“Today at the Woodland we were gathering things like leaves, sticks, logs and stones to make a piece of art. You could work by yourselves, in twos or in groups. We also drew pictures and labelled of what we had made.” Mason and Harry

“This week in Maths the multipliers were learning about function machines. A number goes into a box and something happens to it. For example, if 5 goes in with add 10 in it, it comes out as 15.” Ben

“In Science we learnt about renewable energy and green transport.” Calvin

“In topic we were learning about fashion from the different decades. There were different dresses and necklaces. There were some types of suits. We drew an outfit from a decade and labelled it.” Ross and Lisa

“In Writing, we continued a short story about a fictional planet called Planet Delta.” Arnav

“In reading we read some of our books. We looked from evidence from the book to back up our ideas.” Euan

 

 

 

Class blog- 14th October

“We were working on collages in art. We had to cut or rip little bits of paper to make a picture of a tenement as part of our topic. We glued pictures of people in the windows.” Mason

“This week we were dividing and multiplying by ten, one hundred and one thousand.” Ben

“In Writing we went through our writing jotters and we had to find examples of writing with good examples of connectives, openers and vocabulary.” Erin

“In Reading, one group were reading “Cheat”. We had to make a prediction based on the story so far.” Roslyn

“We did some Philosophy. We read a story and we had to answer some questions. “What is the difference between interesting and boring?” and “What does it mean to do maths in your head?” Aiza

“We spent some time finishing off our infographic about John Muir. We wrote information and drew pictures.” Mason

Class blog- 7th October

” This week in Maths we have been learning about division. We picked some people and Mr Flood shared marbles between them to help with division.” Steven and Millie

“We went out to the Woodland. We were discovering things for the John Muir award and thinking about how we are going to help nature.” Harry

“We played silent Simon says.” Jad

“We learnt about floating and sinking. Then we made ships that we put into water. We put marbles on to see if it would sink or float.” Ross

“We looked at photos taken by Oscar Marzaroli. The photos were from the 60s in Glasgow. we guessed what the pictures were, then we had to pick a picture to write about.” Calvin

“In Writing we wrote about famous Glaswegians. We researched information about them and then we wrote a fact file.” Aiza
