Eid Mela

Today we were wearing cultural dress.  Some boys in our class told us about their cultural dress and what they usually wear for Eid.

I feel good about wearing my cultural dress at school because I can show what religion I am. ”  Ali

The clothes we wear  look the same as what other people wear, but they just have different name. ” Ibrahim

Repeating Patterns

Islamic patterns tessellate and are based around a star at the centre.  We tried making our own tessellating patterns using shapes, symmetry and colours.

My design was based on the Moroccan flag.” Andrew

The repeating patterns was really fun and I really like how we mixed the Eid Mela tasks in with maths.  It was really fun and I hope we can do it again.”  Evie

World Book Day

Can you guess which book our photograph represents?

We had fun recreating our scene from our favourite book.  We had fun trying to guess the scenes other classes created at assembly too.

Book in a Box/Jar

Some members of the class took part in the Book in  a Box/Jar competition.  We had fabulous entries, but Katherine was the P4 winner with her ‘Diary of a Wimpy Kid’ box.  🙂

Well done to everyone who entered the competition, they were great entries!
