During our Outdoor learning, we decided to re-create an authentic Viking village settlement using some given materials and other natural materials that we foraged from our immediate environment.
We worked in partnership to construct a number of dwelling structures and had a criteria to work towards. Our settlement had to have at least 4 of the main features of a settlement; main communal living, sleeping and eating area, a pen for animals, work implements and leisure area.
What an amazing and successful experience we had together, look at the settlement we made which included a constructed main frame for weaving cloth for clothing garments, cooking area, pen for livestock and living area too!
