Health and Wellbeing

We were learning about how to keep safe during Fireworks Night and other outdoor events. We took notes while listening, made those notes into a SAFE and a UNSAFE list and then made a Brickorama to illustrate unsafe behaviour. Then we wrote a report!

We learned a new game called “4 in a Row” It uses what we know about numbers to 120, counting 10 less and 10 more and numbers before and after.

We used our TWMTDW skills, problem solving and coding skills to create vehicles powered by Sphero robots that could transport cargo.

Wild Maths

We used our TWMTDW skills to make large shapes. We made triangles, rectangles, (almost) squares and irregular quadrilaterals. We also learned a game called Nim and played it with wild materials.

Colour Run

We had excellent fun raising money for the school. These are photos immediately after we stopped running! They are a mixture of shock and awe but as you can see, everyone had great fun.

Windfarm Trip

Mrs Dougall organised a trip to Whitelee Windfarm. We learned about different renewable energies, the importance of peat bogs and just what it takes to run a wind farm. Our bus tour guide said we could hug the wind turbine to hear the electricity being made.

Coding/TWMTDW

We used our expert knowledge of Shero robots to code a pathway. We used angles to know which way to go. If it went to far, we had to change the speed and time (This is called debugging – Mr C)
