Over the past couple of weeks, we have been settling into our new classroom and have been focusing on building relationships and establishing rules and routines.
To support us with this we have completed some group challenges where we had to work as a team to solve a problem.
First up was our cup challenge!
We had to create different structures with the plastic cups but we could only move the cups using one finger each.
“We had to do really tricky things with our fingers because one person had to put one finger on one side and the other person had to put their finger on the other side.”
“It was really hard to try and turn the cups upside down.”
“It was hard to balance the cups on top of each other.”
“Sometimes people were knocking down the cups which made it more difficult.”

Next up was the Kapla challenge! We had to make a marble run using only Kapla. We designed our marble runs first which made us think about the slope we created for speed along with how easily the marble could move throughout the run.
“It was tricky the first time we made the turn but then our team figured it out.”
“It was tricky to try and make speed so it could get around the track.”
“We found it hard to make it stop hitting the walls.”
“We found it hard but we ended up completing it.”
