PRIMARY 4A Class Blog – Week Beginning: 12/12/22

Welcome to our final written blog post of 2022.

Literacy and English

Harrison – In Writing, we wrote a persuasive letter to East Renfrewshire Council about not removing the bins in Rouken Glen park and not cleaning the pond. We gave reasons as to why it would be bad to do this.  We were to convince them to keep the bins there and clean the pond.

Numeracy and Mathematics

Jace – In Maths, The Number Ninjas were learning how to do 2-digit multiplication with carrying.

IDL

Kerr – In Topic, we were chopping fruit from the rainforest to make a fruit salad. I had to wrestle an orange! We learned the claw hold and the bridge hold. When we finished we tidied up, washed the dishes and ate our fruit. We also tried the coconut water.

Expressive Arts

Jamie – In Art, we sketched out the fruits that we were using to make a rainforest fruit salad. We learned how to use charcoal to shade it.

HWB

Scarlett – In HWB, we had different stations to learn about different medicines and what they were for and the age you had to be to take them.

RME

Stuart – In RME, we learned about Christmas in different countries. Then we had to use the Chromebooks to search up facts for a country of our choice. We could make a Google Slide or a poster.

P1 Nativity

Lilian – This morning we went to go and watch the P1 Nativity practise. They did so well!
