Happy Friday!

This week in Primary three we have been learning all about different types of punctuation marks. We can now use question marks, exclamation marks and speech marks in our writing.

We have been focusing on French and have learnt all the colours of the rainbow and some animals you can find in the zoo!

Finally, we showed off our skills in our numeracy number talks by sharing our strategies to solve addition and subtraction calculations with our friends.

We hope you have a fantastic weekend!

This week in Primary three we have been learning all about food chains.

We know that every food chain has an energy source, a producer and at least one consumer. We were able to create our own food chains using paper plates, string and our fantastic drawing skills!

We have also been getting better at our gymnastic skills and practiced different rolls in PE.

Finally, we finished our class novel ‘The Magic Finger’ and were able to identify that the characters in the book developed empathy and that we should always care for others, including animals.

We hope everyone has a great weekend!

This week Primary 3 have been doing lots of fun learning,

We have been learning about bar graphs and can now create our own with lots of interesting information.

Mrs Dougall taught us all about biomimicry which is when you copy or imitate things in nature.

We finished the week off by revising our knowledge of living and non-living things and creating our own mindmap to establish the differences between living, non-living and dead things. See some of our fabulous mindmaps below!

Have a good weekend!
