STEM Afternoon

This week, our class participated in an exciting STEM afternoon filled with exploration, learning, and hands-on fun!

The children participated in a rotation of activities, moving around different stations to experience various STEM challenges.

At one station, we focused on building our ICT skills using  Chromebooks, with support from our brilliant Digital Leaders. They guided us through logging in, exploring websites, and practising key computer skills.

Next, we rotated to the iPad station, where we learnt how to scan and access QR codes. It was fun and fascinating to see how these tiny codes can open up a world of digital content with just a tap!

At another station, we got creative with our STEM boxes, which were filled with building materials like LEGO, Stickle Bricks, magnets, and more. Working in teams, we built towers, bridges, and even vehicles—applying engineering skills and creative thinking to turn our ideas into reality.

Each group spent time at every station, making sure everyone got a chance to explore, build, and learn. It was a fantastic afternoon full of teamwork, technology, and creativity.

Music Exploration with Mrs Lyall!

In music, P3C had a wonderful experience with our music teacher, Mrs Lyall. The children had the chance to practise playing music using a variety of musical instruments. There was a real buzz of excitement as everyone explored different sounds and learned how to play each instrument with care and rhythm.

The children sat in a circle, with musical notes placed in the centre. Each group either took turns or played music together, using their instrument to make sounds that matched the notes in the centre.
