P3C – Week 5!

P3C have had another excellent week!

This week the pupils have been learning the planets in order from the sun. Pupils have even created poems to help them remember.

In P.E. the pupils have been working hard on possession games and have been showing great team work.

Pupils have started Hand Writing this week and have been working on joining their letters. In Numeracy, the pupils have been working on identifying the missing number on a number line.

This week in Maths, the class worked with Miss Lamb to look at Symmetry. They had the opportunity to identify other halves of different shapes and patterns and create their own symmetrical designs. Have a look at our symmetrical art. Can you spot our lines of symmetry? We can’t wait to get these up on our classroom windows. There are lots of fun activities planned for Maths Week Scotland next week!

Miss Lamb continues to focus on Imaginative Writing. After reading ‘My Adventure Island’, and watching a video clip of a Hawaiian island, the pupils created their own stories, imagining they were on their very own tropical island! They used their senses to describe what they could see, hear, feel and touch. We aimed to add as many adjectives to our writing as possible. Some pupils even read their stories to the class!
