Our special keys all disappeared. On Monday morning we had a surprise delivery of a beautiful black and gold box. We needed to work through some challenges in the envelopes to discover the message. It told us that we were the key to reading! We worked so hard and learned to keep using all our reading strategies. The keys are now in our class to help remind us when we feel challenged.

This week we started to investigate money. We were able to share a lot of things we already knew before we started exploring.

We started with sorting out similar coins and even looking at some coins that people use in different countries. During our work we started asking questions about when money is used so we have decided to investigate it further. 

In writing we worked on story maps and using our imaginations to create our stories. We created amazing story maps that helped us tell stories that had a beginning, middle and end. Mrs Norman was so impressed we went to share some of our stories with Mrs Jamieson.
