Fitness in P.E.

In P.E. we are focusing on developing our fitness. We discussed how different lifestyle choices we make can help us as we grow older. The children shared excellent examples of everyday choices such as regular exercise and balanced diets. We will continue to learn to understand how to promote healthy choices.

Take a look at P2C taking part in some simple fitness circuits. They enjoyed creating the simple exercises and identifying how many they already do as part of their outdoor play.

Our Visit to the Science Centre

Primary 2 had a great day out to the science centre.

Some of our favourite things included; exploring the activities, trying the hamster wheel, building with wonky blocks, catapulting the ball, walking in the funny room and looking at the stars in the planetarium.

Thank you to our parent helpers and Mrs Dougall for organising the trip.

Friday 4th October

Last week was Maths Week Scotland. We read the book ‘The Doorbell Rang.’ It was all about sharing equally.

We took part in some activities that helped us to learn how to share out objects and numbers in equal amounts.

We liked sharing the playdough out and playing with it.

We liked making the playdough in partners (even if it didn’t always work!)

We liked using the games on the board to help share things out.

This week we looked at measure in maths and numeracy. We all learned how to use a ruler to measure things accurately. We welcomed Mrs McGuigan and Mrs McAra into the classroom to share our learning.

It was lovely to see some of the children bring in books and pictures inspired by our topic. Some children even told us about what they done over the weekend to help keep our oceans clean! Well done P2C!

Have a lovely weekend!
