Week Beginning 19th May

As part of our learning about senses, we conducted a Taste Experiment.
We wanted to test whether we would be able to tell what flavour of Skittle we were eating even if we couldn’t see it.

The results proved that we ARE able to identify flavour, even without our sense of sight. Some of us found certain flavours easier than others.

IDL Blog May

Hi there, it’s Mrs Dougall here with a little update on our P2 Learning Journeys. First of all, apologies for the lack of photos, I’ve had an IT blip!

We have completed our Growing Topic and the children will be bringing their plants home very soon.

I was so impressed with how carefully the children selected their seeds to ensure that they made good companion plants. We were able to use lots of the seeds that the children collected during our Food Waste Learning Journey, so when the pots come home, watch out for the mystery plants and let me know what you manage to cultivate.

We are now well into our Summer Drama and Music Learning journey,  and the children are busy interpreting Summer Stories and learning new summer songs.

Week Beginning 5th May

This week we read the book ‘Fresh Juice’.  We took notes as we read the story.
Next, we decided to come up with our own Juice Recipe with ingredients, a method and our own title. Mrs Grieve is going to choose one of our recipes to make in class next week!
