Blog 14th February

Welcome back readers, we have had such a busy week.

Literacy

In literacy this week we spoke about our class story and got the chance to add the next chapter to ‘The Adventures of Bill and Hannah’. As a class we added new settings and new characters to our story, we love creating new stories and adventures each week.

PE

In PE we continued ball control but added a challenge of only controlling the ball with our feet. We work in teams to make it through the assault course.

H&WB

We continued talking about being unique and learned the story of Elmer the Elephant. We each created a unique patch that we are going to use to make a P2A Elmer to show that we are all unique and different.

Maths

In maths we began learning symmetry, we had two new areas in the class to help with this. In the tough spot we have been using what we already know about shape and pattern to create symmetrical patterns and in the construction corner Symmetrical City was opened. Our challenge is to build two symmetrical cities that are separated by a river.

Topic

We loved showing our grown-ups everything we have been learning in our topic this week. Our open afternoons was full of fun activities about our Super Scotland topic. We had lots of different stations open in the classroom for everyone to try and we loved taking on the role of the teacher during our open afternoons.

We hope you have a relaxing February weekend and thank you again for coming to our open afternoon to see everything we have been getting up to recently.

P2A 🙂
