Hi everyone!
We have had a lovely week. It was maths week! So as a class, we did lots of different things that related maths to real life contexts. Such as, counting how many leaves, trees, rocks, sticks and puddles (mucky mud) in woodland. We also clapped to the beat in different songs and took part in the cha cha slide, which told us what direction to go in.
Have a look at what we enjoyed most about maths week 🙂
Isla – Use maths to help you with the speed limit (I am also happy I got into the eco committee)
Jura – I use maths in motion when dancing and thinking of what moves I can do
Penelope – I liked using the microphone to talk about maths in motion on stage
Olivia Y – I use maths in motion when dancing and clapping the beats
Eva – I use maths in motion when dancing and clapping the beats
Kate – You can use maths in ballet
Olivia W – I liked using maths in dancing
Harry – Riding a bike because you need to see where you are going to pick the direction
Jovie – You can use maths in motion in golf to count how many hits you do
Ryan – Football pitch you need to kick in a straight/backwards/left/right direction. Look for the goal to see the direction
Carson – I use maths in football to tell your team which way to go, make sure they are in a space to pass to them
Aaron – I use maths in tennis because you count how many hits you do
James – I use maths in dance and freeze to count the beats
Ruraidh – You use maths in the register to count how many people there are
Christopher – I used maths when dancing and clapping to the beat in class
Ismail – I used maths when dancing and clapping to the beat in class
Hugo – I use maths to count how many blocks I need when building. Or people can count bricks when building houses
Oscar – I liked going up on the stage to talk about maths in motion with Penelope. I also liked doing the dancing to the cha cha slide because it gave me directions
Yahya – I used maths when dancing and clapping to the beat
