What a wonderful and busy week we have had in Primary 1C. The sun has been shining and we have had a lovely time outside in our garden and Muga.
This week we have continued with Phonological Awareness and have been learning about syllables. We have also practised making our names with magnetic letters and scrabbles tiles. On Wednesday we told Mrs Agnew or Miss Regan an imaginative story of our choice and they wrote it down. Next week we will act out some of our stories!
We have continued with numbers 1-10 and have been enjoying different activities to help us count along with recognising the number as a numeral or a word.
We have continued to explore the areas in our classroom.

Our story of the week has been The Colour Monster. We have been learning about different feelings such as happiness, sadness and fear. We discussed times where we felt different feelings and drew pictures of them in our jars. We also painted a Colour Monster to show how we were feeling.

On Monday we went to the Multipurpose room and enjoyed some drama games. We played a game called ‘Who’s Shoes?’ and took turns to act out a person. There were firemen, paramedics, racing car drivers, farmers and artists!

On Friday morning we enjoyed the sunshine in our Primary 1 garden. We enjoyed exploring the areas and lots of us decided to create our own garden area with the stones.

We played parachute games in the Muga on Friday. We were incredibly excited trying to keep the ball on the parachute and loved playing cat and mouse. There was lots of teamwork involved!
