Eid Celebrations

Today we enjoyed learning more about Eid in the classroom and listening to some of our friends sharing their experiences from home. We looked at some pictures of mosques and after chatting about the features of the building tried to build our own in the block area. We used tissue paper to collage designs on crescent moon and stars and tried our first attempt at henna designs by drawing around our own hands.

Have a lovely weekend and I’ll see you all for the last week of term on Monday (not that I’m counting down) 🙂

Fun in the sun

This week we had so much fun playing in the garden and enjoying the sunshine.  We read stories together trying to spot magic e words, used bright spring colours to draw collaboratively on the ground and made some delicious recipes in the mud kitchen. Hopefully the weather will continue into next week so we can enjoy some more outdoor learning.

Enjoy your weekend,

Scottish tasting afternoon

This week we enjoyed tasting some Scottish traditional foods including shortbread, vegetarian haggis, oatcakes, porridge and potato scones. It was a great opportunity to share our own experiences of foods we enjoy at home and to try some new foods.

Have a great weekend!

World Book Day

This week we had great fun reading new and old stories, sharing our favourite stories with each other, creating our own characters in our writing and retelling the story ‘We’re Going on a Bear Hunt’ using our acting skills.

‘We’re definitely going on a bear hunt again”.

Have a great weekend!
