We have been busy learning about the element of line. We thought carefully about all of the different lines you can get and then went outside to represent these lines with our bodies. Here you can see lots of lovely straight body shapes, wavy arms and zig zag motions.

Next we used chalk to draw these lines on the playground for our friends to walk on. Some of our lines were super long!

We then painted some of the lines we had learned about before drawing our own self portraits. Mrs Denholm encouraged us all to look closely in the mirror to help with our drawings which prompted lots and lots of discussion.

The learning continued outdoors despite the weather, making the most of exploring our garden area. The children have lots of ideas of how they can develop the space to meet their interests and we have a list of what we would like to work on together.
