Primary 1B are Super Learners!

Hello,

We have been super busy this week learning across all the different curricular areas. Our first Topic was all about ‘Under The Sea’, but we have now moved on to ‘Safari Animals!’

We have created our home corner into a Zoo. As a team, we made a roof for it!

In our play, we have been building Zoo’s in the construction area to keep the animals safe!

Whilst animals are exploring in the wild they leave their tracks (footprints). We were investigating how animals have different tracks and comparing their differences.

Also within our Topic, we realised that lions are orange and slightly red which resembled Autumn! Whilst Outdoors, we gathered leaves and looked at how the leaves are beginning to change colours and discussed the season of Autumn.

Worms worms worms! We love worms although Miss Amin is a tiny bit scared of them. We created a ‘wormery’!

After, we realised we made quite a bit of mess. Whilst splashing the water down the slope to remove the mud, we noticed that water has a force! We now know that a force is when an object is being pushed or pulled!

The activity trail is a great activity for us to develop our gross motor skills, co-ordination and control!

We are becoming more confident to correctly identify and write our name!

We continue to explore 2D shapes and discuss their properties such as edges and corners.

We made Pizza using Shapes!

We are working on our estimating and measuring skills. We explored a variety of objects and used different items to measure how long they were.

We explored each others heights to determine who is taller and shorter!

Wow, what a busy week of learning it has been! We hope you have enjoyed this weeks blog! See you next week 😀!
