EWHCF Class of 2024

This morning we played two more Maths games.

Ollie’s games was ‘Counting Tig’. The Tigger had to tig a child and give them a number 1-20; the child had to count to that number before they were free. Ollie and Ava managed to tig a lot of children. We all enjoyed that game, thank you Ollie.

Finlay’s game was similar to Ollie’s, but this time the teacher counted out 1 minute on her watch and the tigger had to catch as many children in 1 minute. Finlay did well and caught 6 children in that time. Well done Finlay!

Next week we hope to try out some other Maths Games.

We were very excited to receive our new homework bags this afternoon and this week our task is to complete the ‘all about me’ booklet.

All of the teachers are very excited to find out new information about all of the boys and girls.

We will be posting regular updates of our news and our learning. We have all settled well into our new classes and have made lots of new friends.

This week Primary 1 have enjoyed taking part in Maths Week. We showed visitors our maths skills in our open afternoon and had lots of fun.

We also had a visit from a mathmagician who showed us the magic in maths. We were impressed with the parents’ workshop where they showed us their maths skills involved in their job and Mrs Henderson provided lots of problem solving games for us to play.
