Outdoor Learning

 At Crookfur we firmly believe that the outdoors provides children with one of the best possible environments in which to learn. We view indoors and outdoors as one combined environment and ensure that children can access these simultaneously whether it be in our outdoor playground or in our woodland area. All staff believe that outdoor play is central to young children’s learning and play as it allows children to use effective modes of learning – play, movement and sensory experience.

Children are provided with the opportunity to participate in  Woodland Sessions, where they spend time in the wilder site of our nearby woodland area. For more information please click on the links below:
