Our new Crookfur Family Centre building opened in December 2020. The Family Centre is part of Crookfur Primary School although now sits on a separate site from the school building. The site is within close proximity to the school, allowing our very close links to be maintained.
Staff and children have been busy updating our learning zones, leading to some really exciting learning
experiences. Take a look at the Thinglink we have created, which offers a virtual tour of the play areas.
At Crookfur we pride ourselves in the respectful, warm and caring relationships that are built between our staff, children, families and our community. We aim to ensure that there is a positive, welcoming and inclusive ethos within our family centre, where everyone is valued and listened to.
Research shows that high quality early years provision promotes children’s development and learning and we provide high quality learning experiences within a secure and caring environment, where learning through play is highly valued and a positive attitude to learning is nurtured.
Strong partnerships between home and nursery are essential to achieving our aims and we seek to ensure that all parents and carers feel involved in their child’s learning and development, as well as the life of the family centre.
