Primary 1 created some fabulous art outside today! We used lots of different things that we found in our school grounds to create pictures of our group animals! Here are the Tigers and some of their pieces…
And here are the Giraffes!
Thank you also to our wonderful P4 helper, TJ! You were a superstar today!
The Panthers will have their turn to make their pieces tomorrow! Well done everyone!
Primary 1 have loved taking our learning outdoors this week!! We made some interesting meals in the mud kitchen…
Some of us made a map that we followed to look for treasure!
We played with musical instruments and used the blocks to build some very interesting structures!
We used the large loose parts to create obstacle courses…
We found an apple tree and we spotted lots of other berries growing on the trees in the grounds!
We did some gardening in the pumpkin patch and we found lots of worms and even a caterpillar!
What a fantastic start to our outdoor learning journey, well done Primary 1!
Today we filled the buildings with numicon and found the total of each building!
Some boys and girls decided to create a calculation and learned to recognise and use the plus sign and the equals sign.Â
Our questions led us to finding out about carnivores and herbivores. Excellent investigation skills boys and girls!
We we’re learning about the letter t sound today, we made t s with playdough. Some boys and girls even sounded out words beginning with t and made them with playdough!Â
This week we have been  practicing our number formation using lots of multi sensory activities.
Just to remind all of our families that Primary 1 will begin spending time at our outdoor area next week using the mud kitchen, playing with water, doing some gardening and using our large loose parts to develop our gross motor skills and practice working as a team. Please remember to send in outdoor shoes/wellies and suits if you have them.
We will share our learning with you as it happens! Thank you for your support 🙂
