Welcome to Primary 3!

We have all had a lovely few days in Primary 3, catching up on our holiday news.

Today in Primary 3 we were learning to tell the time at quarter past and quarter to. Everyone worked collaboratively in small groups to complete lots of activities to practice telling the time at quarter to and quarter past as well as revising telling the time at o’clock and half past.

Keep practising telling the time at home primary 3!

Construction

During zone time I have spotted lots of boys and girls doing amazing things with the constructions materials!

The boys were shocked when they noticed our construction blocks had started to come apart 😨

So they decided to mend the block themselves using the wood work bench! Demonstrating skills for life! Well done an thank you! ☺️

How amazing is Layla’s bunny made from blocks.

Layla, Leon and Kameron had a go at building a house out in the atrium!

Lacy and Noah chose to make a tower using the dominos! How tricky! The whole class were excited by their idea and had a go themselves!

We can all use the hammer very well, so this week we have been learned how to use the saw.

Because P1a love construction we borrowed the Kapla and set ourselves challenges in teams! Don’t our bridges look amazing!

Homework week beginning 16th March 2020

Social Studies

We have been learning about our local environment and people who help us in our community.

We have been talking about people who help us in our family’s and drawing amazing family portraits. The boys and  girls have presented excellent solo talks on their family, if you have not completed this  homework there is still time to bring in a photograph or picture from home!

We have been investigating emergency services and how they can help us.  We have watched video clips, played games on the ipads today we wrote a story with a beginning, middle and end about an emergency. All the children created an excellent story about an emergency vehicle coming to the rescue!

Next week the pupils have decided they would like to build a model of an emergency vehicle. We would love your help! If you could send in any recycling such as; any sized boxes and washed out plastic bottles. Thank you!

Please encourage your child to complete their usual homework too;
