Primary 2a had so much fun working together to complete the Growth Mindset STEAM Challenge to save Rapunzel from her tower! They created a ladder, a zip wire and a parachute. What amazing problem solving and creative thinking skills P2a!

Book Week Scotland
This week Primary 2a loved reading the book ‘How many Trees?’ . They are so excited to take it home at the end of November in their ‘Read, Write Count’ bags. What super reading P2A!
Learning about St.Mark and Growth Mindset
During Catholic Education Week P2a have been learning about what it means to be a Saint and have been learning all about St.Mark.Primary 2 then said a beautiful prayer to St.Mark, that was written by a pupil from the school.
Primary 2a have worked so hard this week when completing Growth Mindset challenges . They have been learning about the importance of perseverance , making mistakes and challenging ourselves. Well done P2a!
Marvellous Maths and creating leaf Hedgehogs!
Primary 2a have been working super hard on their Maths and Numeracy. They have been using cuisenaire rods and magnetic numbers to create their own number lines. Primary 2a were so proud of their work !
Primary 2a have also been focusing on writing and identifying numbers to 100 – they worked so hard when filling in missing numbers squares. Amazing work P2a!
After Primary 2a’s leaf hunt they used the dried leaves they found to create amazing leaf hedgehogs and their own leaf animals ! Super work P2a!
Growth Mindset Maths
Primary 2a have been learning about number place value in Maths. They have been creating chalk and leaf number lines and have been practising their addition calculations . Primary 2A have also been learning about Growth Mindset and that making a mistake is one of the most useful ways to learn. Well done P2a!
Outdoor Classroom Day
Primary 2a have been learning about onomatopoeia . On ‘Outdoor Classroom Day’ , Primary 2a went outside , worked together and wrote some fantastic words to describe fireworks! Primary 2a , also went on a nature trail and discussed how important it is to protect the beautiful world that God has created for us.
