January 2025 (part 2)

January has been a busy month for us!

We have listened to some brilliant solo talks from very confident pupils, learned about wind energy and made our own windsocks and windmills, and we have even started Mandarin lessons!

We took part in the RSPB Big Schools Bird count and received a certificate which is signed by Sir David Attenborough.  This is a special achievement.

We continue to have lots and lots of fun during Muddy Movers and during art we have been studying Andy Warhol.  We tried out some cool pop art techniques. Busy month!

RSPB Wild Challenge

We have been very busy learning about nature and protecting the environment.  Some of the highlights have been creating a den for amphibians, making a logpile house for minibeasts, writing wonderful poems which were inspired by a crispy, cold autumn walk, and using digital microscopes to examine natural objects.

The RSPB think we are amazing and have sent us all a bronze award for working so hard!  Now, we will work towards our silver award.

I’m so proud of you all! 🏆🏆🏆

Nutrition Topic 🍉🍎🍍

Nutrition Topic

We have been learning about the main food groups by studying the Eatwell Guide.  We have been thinking about what we eat and how we can make sure we have a balanced diet.

We prepared and tasted some delicious fruit salad which helped us get our ‘five-a-day’!

September (part 2) in P3/2

An update about our learning in September!

Our Maths topic has been symmetry.  We displayed our learning by using cubes and other objects which we found in the classroom.  We also looked for symmetrical shapes in our environment.

Muddy Movers is still lots and lots of fun in P3!

Heartstart – we revised how to put an unconscious casualty into the recovery position.  Great job by everyone!

What a busy, busy month!

September in P3/2

SEPTEMBER

We’ve been really busy during the first few weeks of September!

We listened to our first solo talk of the year which was fantastic.  We all listened very carefully and had lots of questions at the end.  Well done KC!

We made bread which was so much fun and tasted wonderful!

We also made butter which involved a serious amount of shaking!

We loved tasting produce from Scotland.  Our favourite was the cheddar cheese and oatcakes.

We have really enjoyed all our topic work so far this month 😊

August in p3/2 📚✏️

Welcome back to school! 😊

We have  been very busy creating our Class Charter. This reminded us about our rights and we voted for our new class representative for the Equality Committee.

We all made a target for this term and drew a self portrait to go along with it. Great work, P3/2!
