Primary 5 hand some hands on experience with chemical and physical changes. They made predictions and carried out tests. They identified the difference between a chemical and physical change and discussed the signs that a chemical change had taken place.

Primary 5 have been investigating how friction affects motion. They made predictions and then carried out tests in smalls groups.

Primary 5 have been investigating the principles of floating and sinking in water. They made predictions before carrying out experiments to test their ideas. In the final part of the lesson, they were challenged to design and build a tin foil boat capable of holding weight.

Primary 5 were identifying their personal skills and developing these skills further through participation in different activities.
They improved their teamwork, communication, problem solving, creativity and listening skills.

Primary 5 enjoyed their Christmas party in the gym hall. They played lots of games and danced the afternoon away.

In Science, Primary 5 have been learning about conservation in their local area and designed their own wildlife garden. There was discussion around how the animals find food so we decided to make our own eco friendly and sustainable bird feeders. We used pine cones and bird seed and laid them high up in the trees.

Primary 3 were exploring religious artefacts. There was lots of discussion around prayers, clothes and food. One child shared their religious belief and experiences.


Primary 3 were learning to experience a sense of enjoyment and achievement when preparing healthy foods. They made fruit kebabs and discussed the benefits of eating fruit on a daily basis.

Primary 3/2 were learning to identify the five main food groups. There was discussion on healthy eating and the children talked about their favourite foods. They created an Eatwell plate to display their understanding of the five food groups.
