Buoyancy- Science

Primary 5 have been investigating the principles of floating and sinking in water. They made predictions before carrying out experiments to test their ideas. In the final part of the lesson, they were challenged to design and build a tin foil boat capable of holding weight.

Science

In Science, Primary 5 have been learning about conservation in their local area and designed their own wildlife garden.  There was discussion around how the animals find food so we decided to make our own eco friendly and sustainable bird feeders.  We used pine cones and bird seed and laid them high up in the trees.

Health and Well-being

Primary 3/2 were learning to identify the five main food groups.  There was discussion on healthy eating and the children talked about their favourite foods.  They created an Eatwell plate to display their understanding of the five food groups.
