Welcome to Primary 4!

We have settled into our new class in Primary 4. We have been working hard on lots of new things. We are not allowed to show our face yet on the blog so here are the start of our walls. We hope we will fill them soon.

Keeva – WELL DONE!

Look everyone … Keeva did fantastically well when she competed in Bournemouth and won first place!  She is now a national champion!!

What an amazing achievement, Keeva.  We thought you would be brilliant but this is amazing! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

You look so happy in this photo.  Have a great Summer everyone 😎

Last Week of P3/2 💙

National Numeracy Day 2023

We had lots of fun on National Numeracy Day!

We started off watching a live feed with Bobby Seagull and took part in his Big Number Quiz.  Then we danced with Katja from Strictly Come Dancing.  We found out that music and dancing involves a lot of maths! After that, we thought about the jobs we would like when we are older and the maths involved in each one.  We entered a competition about this and hope we win the £1000 prize for our school!  Finally, we estimated how many things we could do in a given time and went outside to see if our estimates were accurate.  We were exhausted after the star jumps and squats!

Mythical Creatures Topic 2023

MYTHICAL CREATURES TOPIC

We have been having so much fun learning about mythical creatures.  Learning about dragons has been the best!

We loved creating our own dragons and designing magical lands for them to live in.  We have all been very artistic and imaginative!

March 2023

BRITISH SCIENCE WEEK

We loved our smelly science experiment for British Science Week!  Our sense of smell helped us work out what most of the items were but some were very tricky!  We decided that our sense of sight really helps us and when we can’t see the object it can be very tricky to work out the smell.

LOOK CLOSER!

We completed a new RSPB challenge called ‘Look Closer.’  We went outside and looked for natural objects which we wanted to learn more about.  We used magnifiers to get a really close up look at these objects and then we made detailed drawings of them.

BEAUTIFUL BLOSSOM BRANCHES

We used several art techniques to create our beautiful blossom tree branches.  We will be looking out for cherry blossom trees on our walk to school in the morning.

SCOOT AND CYCLE FUN!

RENNIE THE PARK RANGER CAME TO VISIT US

We had a brilliant time with Rennie when he came to help us on our plant safari.  We learned lots of new facts about trees and plants.  Thank you, Rennie!

FREE WRITING FRIDAY!

We love our ten minutes of free writing on Friday mornings!

Volume

We have been learning about millilitres and litres.

We can tell how much liquid a container holds by looking at the packaging and we can order containers according to their volume!

Great team work!
