P7 are using the Marty’s and coding them to speak. This is a throwback to the beginning of the year when we had them from the authority. Big thank you to DXE for bringing these in and teaching the children how.

As part of the high school transitions we have had Mr Pringle in to talk to us about the use of our phones. We have discussed how to use them healthily through limiting how much time we spend on them.

Another transition for P7. This time an athletics event with some sprinting! Children raced against each other to see who was the fastest couldn’t ask for better weather!

P7 are sharing there achievements with their knex. We have a roller coaster, a wheel barrow and even a ferris wheel!

P7 are visiting the high school as part of our transition. Today is technology and we are drilling, hammering nails and using vices.

This morning, children from Cross Arthurlie Primary are debating whether AI and digital technology are making improvements to our lives. We are arguing that they are improving our lives and the children made some good arguments towards St John’s Primary.

The P7s have been making scribble bot with the P4’s. They have created the Scribble bots from range of electrical components and a plant pot and some pens.

P7 have been making their own robots. Using simple circuits, bottle caps and pens along with a motor we have made a robot that can make scribble marks. We are calling them scribble bots.

As part of the trip to the science centre we have been learning about life on other planets and how to detect life. We did an experiment to see if we could find life using yeast and sugar.  Can you guess which cup had the yeast in it?
