We had so much fun at sports day, we all got to take part in different activities and win lots of points for our house teams.

We missed having the parents come to watch but we still had lots of big smiles and activities to enjoy.

We have been comparing life in the past with how we live now.
We have looked at old artifacts, games, school life and a day in the life of a child from the past. 📻📺☎️
The children got to play some games that were played with in past such as marbles, cards, dominos and hoops. 🧸

Using the VR headsets the children were able to look at an olden day classroom as if they were they.
They were able to see the desks, way the children learnt and compare it to how they learn now.  📜🧮👩🏼‍🏫

Primary 2 celebrated Captain Sir Tom Moore by taking part in their 100 challenge fun afternoon. #CaptainTom100

Primary 2.1 have been busy with lots of different fun learning. Today we enjoyed lots of fun Easter activities. In groups they had to find their colour of plastic eggs around the classroom. They then had to solve the maths and literacy problems that were hidden inside. 🥚🔍

We also got to do some planting today linked to out Science topic of “Living and non-living things”. We all learnt what it means to be living and the important things that living items need – fresh air, food and water. 🍃🌊💐

We had so much fun creating our little bunny plant pots and then filling them with soil and bulbs.
I know i cant wait to see how these flowers turn out. 🌺

Primary 2  have been learning about water in different state in science. 💧

We were learning that water freezes at  0°c and becomes a solid known as ice.  🧊  The experiment showed us how ice melts when it’s no longer at 0°c and  also created some great ice painting pictures. 🎨

Spooktacular day 👻

Primary 2  had some Halloween magic added to maths, literacy and art today. We used gruesome ingredients that were counted into a cauldron to make witches brews 🧙‍♀️, used 2D shapes to make pumpkin faces and wrote our spelling words into slime.

We finished the day with a Halloween party 🥳 We dooked for apples 🍏  and wrapped each other to create mummies. Have a look at some of our fun today. 🎃👻

We have been having so much fun with muddy movers in the sun. ☀️

Everyone has been working together to create and build different things from their imagination.  We have created obstacle courses, tower jumps and mud pies. 🏃‍♂️ 🏃‍♀️ 🥧

We were developing our balance skills today with different activities that are fun and enjoyable for all.  🏋️‍♀️🏋️

We have been having so much fun in Primary 2 so far.

We have been so busy getting to know our new classroom and playing with everyone again. We have been doing lots of activities such as Art, role play and construction. 👷‍♀️🎨🎭

We created a class charter together which shows some of the rights we have been learning about. As a class we choose minions to be our class charter theme and coloured them in to make them bright and colourful. 📽🎬

In class we have been reading a book together called the Colour Monster which talks about the different emotions that we can feel. 😊😥😡😨😎 We had great discussions about emotions we can feel during different situations.
