UKRB STANDARD ROLE OVERVIEW

Branch Network – Cashier B1

UK Retail Bank: D&P – Branch Network

Reports to: Counter Manager

Overall Role Purpose: To deliver effective, efficient and compliant customer servicing, working collaboratively with Branch team colleagues, in order to maximise customer satisfaction and overall Branch performance.

Key Accountabilities

• Addressing customer product and transactional processing requirements, in accordance with set procedures, to ensure that customers receive an exceptional service.

• Proactively identifying complex and non-standard customer requirements, and sales opportunities, and referring them to a Personal Banker or the most appropriate Specialist colleague to ensure the Branch achieves its overall goals.

• Undertaking meet and greet and other customer coordination activities to ensure customer needs are addressed promptly and effectively, customers are directed to the most appropriate person when their needs cannot be addressed directly and peaks in demand are effectively managed.

• Undertaking till balancing, ‘back office’ and administration activities to ensure effective, efficient and compliant operation of the Branch.

• As part of a team, working with Branch and Specialist colleagues to enable the delivery of consistently high standards of ‘seamless’ customer service across all Branch and Specialist propositions.

• Addressing, and where appropriate escalating, customer queries, complaints and feedback effectively, to achieve the best possible outcome for the customer in line with Regulation, Barclays’ policy and best practice.

• Proactively developing the necessary knowledge and skills needed to achieve successfully delivery and provide accurate and current advice and appropriate support to customers and colleagues.
