Primary 2a have been focusing on an Under the Sea topic, looking at the different sea creatures that live in the deep blue sea.
With the help of Miss Macdonald, Primary 2a created their own fish animations, using different shapes, colours, tips and tricks. The pupils even designed their own backgrounds. Check them out!
In Primary 2 we have been working hard with our punctuation skills. We know we need to have a capital letter at the start, a full stop at the end and finger spaces in between words when writing sentences. Why don’t you ask me to sing our punctuation song?

Primary 1 had great fun celebrating World Book day – even if it was a bit late due to the snow!
On Thursday we had an author visit us – Jennifer Gray who wrote ‘The Adventures of Ermine – (who is very determined)’ was very interesting and we all enjoyed listening to her and asked some excellent questions.
On Friday we took part in our whole school World Book Day assembly and we wore our Goldilocks and the Three Bears masks.
Kayden, Josh, Joe and Bobbi read out their writing about Goldilocks.
Primary 1 were lucky to have some parents and friends visit our class today while we investigated our Book Bug bags.
We then took our new books home and we will decide on our favourite – ready to vote tomorrow.

Primary 1 went on an adventure to The Foundry today. We all enjoyed going on the bus to the library to get our P1 Bookbug bags. Heather read us three stories -‘Little Owl’s Egg,’ ‘The Fourth Bonniest Baby in Dundee,’ and ‘Gorilla Loves Vanilla.’ Everyone listened well and enjoyed the different books. We then voted on our favourite – it was ‘Little Owl’s Egg.’
Primary 1 had a very exciting afternoon as firefighter Kevin Hughes came to tell us all about his job. We enjoyed asking questions and some people got to try on his uniform.
We then got a very big surprise as the Barrhead Fire Engine came to visit! We got to look at all the equipment and we all tried out the hose.
This is connected to our learning topic of People Who Help Us.
We enjoy writing stories every week. Today we wrote about about catching a ball. We went out to the playground and practised throwing a ball to each other. We were very good at it.
We drew a detailed picture and our teacher scribed our story for us.
