Pupil Achievement
Congratulations to our school badminton teams who participated in the East Renfrewshire Championships on Tuesday. The junior team finished 2nd place overall and the senior team finished 1st place overall. Well done! S3 Pupil Fundraising

Scottish Fire and Rescue Service
Today, S1 pupils received a presentation about safety surrounding fireworks. More information can be found on their website here.
School Car Park
Parents/guardians who collect children from the school car park are reminded that engines should be turned off in order to reduce emissions and their effect on children in the school car park.
Pupil Achievement
Congratulations to Alice (S1) who competed for the Osborne Dance Academy in the Great Britain Irish dancing championships on Friday, coming 36th overall and placing 18th in a hornpipe solo in a massive international competition. She started as a beginner 2 years ago and is now amongst the elite level. Well done Alice!
Pupil Achievement
Well done to Adam Scott ( S1) who became the West District Short Course Champion in the 100m fly and 200m fly events. Additionally, he placed silver in the 200m backstroke and bronze in the 100m backstroke.
STEAM Fair
The biennial STEAM Fair was held on the Thursday 24th October for pupils in P6 – S2. As always at this event, there was a fantastic atmosphere as pupils enjoyed shows from the Glasgow Science Centre, Really Small Science and CGI. In tTe Street area, there was a range of hands on activities with the animal man proving to be as popular as ever. The Art and Design display and fashion show on eco-friendly, sustainably clothing was new in 2019 and certainly brought out the creativity in our pupils as did Music Technology. Williamwood Music Festival
Congratulations to the successful candidates who auditioned for this year’s Williamwood Music Festival. We have an exciting list of Williamwood High School musicians who will be performing at the event, which is taking place on Monday 4 November at 7pm in the conference suite. We are extremely pleased to announce that the Festival is being adjudicated by established composers and musicians; John Cavanagh and Gayle Brogan. Tickets are free, although donations will be gratefully received on the night. Tickets are available now from the Performing Arts department.
