S1 Freshers’ Fair

On Friday 1 September, young people in S1 will attend the Williamwood Freshers’ Fair.

This will take place during periods 5 and 6 where they will have the opportunity to find out further information regarding the many extra-curricular clubs that run at Williamwood High School.

Please see the booklet found here for information.

S1 Returns

A reminder that all S1 pupils have to return the ICT responsible user agreement (pink) and photography consent form (blue) to the school office.  Many thanks to those who have already done so.  New copies also available at the office if you have lost these.

S1 PHOTOGRAPHS

S1 photographs will be taken tomorrow (Wednesday) morning. Pupils must wear full school uniform.

  • Pupils who have PE period 1 will have their picture then.
  • Pupils who have PSHE/RMPS period 1 should go to class as normal and will get their pictures taken period 2.

All pupils should register with all classes as normal throughout the morning.  Teachers will then take classes to the Street at the appropriate time.

(Just for clarification, there is no year group picture in S1 – this is taken in S3 and again in S6.  Apologies for any confusion.)

Parent Club: Boosting Family Wellbeing

The past 18 months have been extremely difficult for families and have caused serious disruption to family life. Different households face different challenges – but one thing everyone has in common is their mental health, and the importance of looking after it. Now it’s time to get back on track and look after your and your children’s mental health. “Boosting Family Wellbeing” will familiarise parents with principles that build children’s happiness, confidence and independence – things like empowerment, safety, choice, working together and trustworthiness. The campaign will also give parents guidance and tips for weaving these principles into everyday moments, helping them to foster confidence and sense of responsibility in their children. For more tips on simple ways to help boost your family’s wellbeing, visit ParentClub.scot.
