The video is suitable for learners with no prior experience of SCHOLAR, but may also be of benefit to students with summative assessments or exams approaching who may wish to use the interactive course materials and automatically marked, end of topic and end of unit assessments for consolidation and revision.

Skills Development Scotland’s Parent and Carers Research

Skills Development Scotland would like to know what parents and carers think about Scotland’s careers services.

The aim of this research is to ask parents and carers about their awareness and use of Skills Development Scotland services and how they talk to their child about careers. This information will allow SDS to better understand the needs of parents & carers and to better shape our services. The questions should take around 10 minutes to complete.

Enter the SDS parent and carer survey on careers services: https://sdscustomerfeedback.eu.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_5yzz5v0qpAkhVzv

Feedback from the parent and carer survey will be shared with partner organisations.

The survey will close at 5pm on 31 May 2021

Meet the Medics

The NHS are re-running their “Meet the Medics” online at 19:00 on Wednesday 24th March.

This event is for anyone who intends to apply to medical school in October 2021 who has not had the opportunity to shadow doctors face-to-face or to speak directly to doctors about the career. Candidates will be placed in small groups and will have the opportunity to speak to several pairs of doctors from a number of specialties and also medical students from the Scottish medical schools throughout the evening. Feedback from previous Meet the Medics events has been excellent, giving a greater insight into the highs and lows of a life in medicine – which is vital for a successful medical school application.
