We have been learning about the Human Body.

Your voice box and your tongue help you talk.
Your lungs help you to breathe.
Your heart beats and sends your blood around your body.
Your liver protects you from poisons.
Your skin protects your body from the sun and when you hurt yourself it stops your insides getting hurt.

We made our own body parts!

Last Friday Ross Collins, the illustrator, came to visit our school. He read us some of the stories he had written and illustrated. He also drew two pictures for us.

Max W and Peter thought it was great because he read books and drew pictures. Uzair thought he was really funny and he liked his drawings. Josh thought Dear Vampa was scary. Eesa thinks Ross Collins is very funny. Sol likes all of the books he has written because they are very interesting and funny. Matthew likes Dear Vampa because it leaves lots of clues behind. Rory liked how Ross Collins answered all of our questions.

Ross Collins also brought in some of his drawings that are used in his books. Aimee loved seeing them and seeing the first book he had ever written.

We all loved the visit.
