In reading, we have been looking at fiction books. We have been using highlighters to help us find the answer within the text, and this has helped us to focus on the text.  Another skill we have been working on is sequencing the story in the correct order.  In writing, we have been studying the characters from a David Walliams story and creating our own interesting character to fit the story.
