We have had a busy and exciting start to P1. Here is what some of the children consider important about their learning:

ICT
We have been busy in ICT. We’ve been using ‘beebots’ and playing with ‘UNIT’ the robot to help us give directions (Harris).

Autumn
We are going on a trip to Huntly Park. We hope to play on the play park! (Elliot)

We are learning about the different signs of Autumn and will bring some Autumn leaves back from the park (Dan). And acorns too! (Mia)

We might ask the park keeper if he looks after animals in the park (Connor).

I liked making my Autumn tree (Lucy).

Literacy and Numeracy
We have been learning sounds. It’s important because I’m going to be someone that writes stories (Noah).

It’s important to learn my sounds to help me read and write more. My favourite is rainbow writing (Amy).

We have been learning to add numbers. I like playing the adding dice games (Dougal).

Health and Wellbeing
I like going to PE because it is fun and I have been doing lots of exercising! (Billy)
