A MAGICAL MONTH SO FAR….

It is a very exciting time in Primary 1. When we came in from lunch a few weeks ago we found magic dust and footprints leading to a scroll and a storybook. The scroll was a letter from a friendly dragon, he was very sad because he did not have a home anymore because Fairyland was destroyed. He wanted us to build Fairyland and to start sharing fairytales. The dragon left us a letterbox so we could write to him.
The first story we read was Jack and the Beanstalk. Logan W said ‘It is my favourite fairytale because I like it when the giant falls down the beanstalk’. In both classes we made a beanstalk for Jack. The dragon wrote us a letter to say that Jack loved the beanstalk and as a special treat he left us two presents, a small dragon for each class. Primary 1a called their dragon Sparkles and Primary 1b called their dragon Smoke. We are each going to have a turn of looking after the dragons at home. They are looking forward to some special sleepovers

January News

We have been working very hard since the holidays. As part of our Farm to Fork we have been thinking all about where the food on our plate comes from. We have been making bread with lots of different ingredients. The flour you need to make bread comes from wheat which is grown on a farm. We had a visitor from the SSPCA she told us all about rescue animals. To celebrate Robert Burns we had great fun singing Scottish songs with Scottish words.
