P6 competing for cluster K’Nex challenge. They were tasked with the challenge of building a mouse trap which could trap, but not harm a mouse, and allow for easy release back into the country.
All teams came up with inventive and imaginative solutions and worked closely to design and then build their solutions, overcoming any problems which arose. Sadly, only two teams could be selected to represent us at our Cluster Competition.
Well done to winners Patrick, Christopher, Rebecca and Isla!!

God’s Loving Plan
Workshop for Parents and Carers
(24th February, 7.00pm)
The Scottish Catholic Education Service has developed God’s Loving Plan – a revised programme for Relationship Education in primary schools. God’s Loving Plan is designed to guide teachers on how children can develop healthy attitudes to their bodies and to all human life so that they can form loving relationships, according to God’s loving plan for their lives.
To introduce you to God’s Loving Plan and to discuss how best you can support your child with this learning, I would like to invite you to attend a workshop on 24th February at 7.00pm.
The workshop will provide an overview of the programme and the specific learning outcomes at Primary 6 and Primary 7.
I am delighted that Rana Keane, Primary Education Advisor for Paisley Diocese, is able to join us too. If you would like to attend this event, please complete the tear off slip on the letter that was given out last week and return it to the school office.

At Mass on Sunday 8th March we are having our enrolment ceremony for the Sacraments. The children will sit with their parents and will stand to join in a special service during 10 and 12 o’clock Mass. All children intending to receive the Sacraments this year should participate in this ceremony.
The Sacrament of First Reconciliation will be celebrated in St. Cadoc’s Church on Monday, 9th March at 7pm. The children will sit together as a group and will go up to receive individual Confession and absolution during the service. It would be helpful if you practised the First Confession format with your child to help them become confident with what they are to do.
At both of the ceremonies the children are asked to wear school uniform.
