Summer Sports Camps 2015

The fantastic St Ninian’s Summer Sports Camps for P1 to S1 pupils are now available to book in the following weeks:

W/B 27 July
W/B 3 August

This is a great opportunity to try a wide variety of sports; improving and developing new skills as well as having lots of fun!  It is also a fantastic induction for the pupils who will eventually attend St Ninian’s High School as pupils.  Though friends who attend other schools are also welcome.

All coaching sessions are run by fully qualified coaches and Physical Education teachers who will provide the ideal environment for children to learn and enjoy themselves safely. Full details are on the attached leaflet.

Shirley Roberts Memorial Tournament

Thanks to all schools who participated in our tournament in memory of our colleague and friend Shirley Roberts. Shirley will always remain in the hearts of everyone at St Ninian’s and yesterday’s tournament is a great example of this.

Six schools from across East Renfrewshire competed in the tournament (Eastwood, Mearns Castle, St Lukes, St Ninian’s, Williamwood and Woodfarm). St Lukes finished the tournament in first place with 17 points and were crowned 2014-2015 Champions.

Our special guest yesterday was Archie Knox. Archie was a very successful manager working alongside Alex Ferguson at Manchester United and Walter Smith at Rangers.  Thanks to Archie for presenting the medals and trophy yesterday. He also spoke to pupils, giving them advice and the motivation on how to be successful in their lives.

Finally, thanks to our S6 pupils who assisted with the running and refereeing of the tournament.
