S4 Work Experience NHS Placements
A meeting was held today for pupils planning to carry out their work experience with the NHS Greater Glasgow. This applies to student hoping to have their placement in hospital departments only. GP’s, Dental Practices, Physiotherapist practices etc. are not NHS placements for the purpose of the Work Experience application.

The main message is that students must apply for their placement on the WorkIT website.
- Click on the placement search and select NHS observation
- Download and complete the NHS Greater Glasgow application form July16.docx
- Email the completed application form to both –
- workexperience@ggc.scot.nhs.uk
- SchoolMail@st-ninians.e-renfrew.sch.uk
- You must also click the request button at the bottom of the page on WorkIT so that the school knows you have applied.
Please note: GP’s, Dental Practices, Physiotherapist practices etc. should be applied for using the green Self-found form.
