Mental Health Awareness Week 14th-20th May 2018
This week is Mental Health Awareness Week and this year the focus is on stress.
The Mental Health Foundation states that research has shown that two thirds of us experience a mental health problem in our lifetime, and stress is a key factor in this. By tackling stress we can go a long way to tackle mental health problems such as anxiety and depression, and in some instances, self harm and suicide.
This week in PSHE we will be exploring Mental health and will be discussing positive coping mechanisms. Pupils will be taken through the following presentation. Mental Health Awareness Week 14 to 20 May
At the start of every year, pupils are informed of the various support available in the school. If you are ever unsure or concerned, do not hesitate to contact Pastoral Support.
