‘Pupil of the month’ is a departmental award scheme that recognises achievement within the classroom and celebrates success.
It promotes the four capacities that are at the core of a Curriculum for Excellence, encouraging successful learning, self confidence, responsibility and effective learning in all our pupils.
Pupils themselves are aware of the criteria for success and every month they nominate a member of their class for the award. An overall winner is selected from all the S1 and S2 nominations and each nominee receives a certificate./postcard and we post a photograph on the Maths Twitter page (@StNiniansMaths)
