S2 Holocaust Survivors Visit
This week as S2 History pupils had the privilege of meeting Holocaust Survivors Henry and Ingrid Wuga who told the story of their escape from Nazi Germany through the Kinder Transport in 1939. They discussed their experience of life in Britain as teenage Jewish refugees and allowed children to examine their artefacts and photographs from the time. The couple are 94 years old and have been happily married for 73 years and visit a variety of schools and educational events in conjunction with the Holocaust Memorial Trust to tell their story in the hopes of educating people about the horrors of the Holocaust and what can be done to ensure this never happens again.
