We continued with our science lessons today, building upon yesterdays knowledge.
P5 explored chemical reactions with more depth and created lava lamps to illustrate which of the materials they used reacted together. The majority of the class had hypothesised correctly at the beginning of the experiment but some children were pleasantly surprised at the result and some had been expecting an explosion!
For this weeks science P5 have been learning all about mixtures and separating materials.
In connection with their topical science and persuasive writing, on pollution, they had a look at what happens to the sea during an oil spill and investigated a variety of methods for cleaning this up.
