Primary 6a have been hard at work producing their own magazines for The Grand High Witch and her cronies. We have been working in small groups and delegating roles such as the editor, art director and roving reporter. We are now producing our final edit and look forward to sharing with each group. We will be adding each magazine to the class library which should give everyone a chance to read them.

Well done to our Confident Individuals who volunteered to accompany Somewhere Over the Rainbow today with no support from their ukulele teacher. They played very well.

Unfortunately last weeks video did not show in our blog so we have added some pictures instead. We are still working on the chords to accompany Somewhere over the Rainbow. We sound fantastic – you will just need to take our word for it for now!

We have been working with Mr Adams every Tuesday and he has been teaching us lots of chords to help us accompany different songs. Today we have been focussing on the chords to accompany “Somewhere over the Rainbow”. I’m sure you will agree we are displaying terrific talents.

P6a have been working in two’s or three’s to plan their own Witchly magazine. They have taken on roles of Editor, Advertising manager, Art director and Journalists – sharing all responsibilities in their group. We look forward to sharing the finished magazines with you all.

P6a took part in the Daily Mile this afternoon. We made sure we were moving for 10 minutes, either running, jogging or walking. We did this today during our PE slot. Please remember to bring in all PE kits.

Homework has been added to Google classroom and Education City. Children should complete all tasks for Friday. Remember that Early Bird club is available each morning and children can complete homework during this time also.

It feels a little strange without our Hatchery and fish in school but our hard work continues. We are working very hard on our competition entry to conclude the topic. We look forward to sharing this with the rest of the school very soon.

P6a are both proud and devastated to announce that they have released the trout into the ABC burn.

We managed to release over 120 fish and they will swim towards the River Clyde where some will settle and others will make their way out to sea
