Visit to Sky TV Studios

P4 – P7 Eco reps and Pupil Council reps had a ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’  type visit to Sky studios today. Behind every door, the excitement built. The pupils worked in teams to create, produce and edit an Eco news report called  ‘The Rubbish equation’. Waste Minimisation has been a focus for the school this session and the news report they produced will hopefully inspire pupils to recycle more in school and at home.

The pupils had to take responsibility for our jobs, such as eye witness reporter, producer, editor, director, script writer and camera operator. The best parts in our opinion, were making the video clips and then watching the final copy and seeing how it all came together – Studio 2 team.

We learnt how to produce a TV programme from filming to recording and editing it. We got to use a £60,000 camera!  – Studio 4 team
