Pupils from classes Orkney and Shetland recently visited the site of the old school with Morgan Sindall.
Our pupils are working with the company, learning about how a building is constructed and will return in the new year to see the medical centre when it is almost finished.
Thank you also to Morgan Sindall who are presenting us with a flag pole for our Green Eco flag to go on.
You will all be aware of the plight of refugees mainly from Syria and the efforts many of you have already made to send aid to charitable or aid organisations to support families who now find themselves homeless and in great need of help. Councillor Waters is
co-ordinating aid to those who are held in refugee camps in Calais and is organising a convoy which leaves on Thursday 29 October.

One Giant Leap are a transitions project working with Sense Scotland and are looking for new referrals from young people with learning disabilities who are in the process
of leaving school – 2016/17 leavers.

Are you interested in attending The Open Forum Day on Monday 19th October?
The forum will include a presentation about what is happening with the ILF (Independent Living Fund) and PAMIS are going to give a presentation about Communication passports on the iPad and other related IT skills in relation to care. They will also be an opportunity for chat and questions afterwards.

Thank you to everyone who sent in donations and attended our Harvest Service on Tuesday.
All donations were shared between East Renfrewshire Food bank and Glasgow City Mission.

We were recently the host school for the
International Conference; Embedding Health and Wellbeing Across the Curriculum.

We are delighted to have been accepted by the Royal Horticultural Society to be one of the participating schools in their ‘Rocket Science’ experiment.
This involves taking seeds sent to us which have been to space, and seeing if they grow in the classroom. Click here for more details.

Parents’ Evening will take place on Monday 5th August.
Appointments will already have been made with the class teacher.
We look forward to seeing everyone and meeting up with our new parents.

Do you have green fingers and some free time? The Parent Gardening Club are looking for more parent volunteers to help out in the sensory garden on 20th Oct at 10am.

What does a good like look like after school?
This parent engagement session allows you to think about your children leaving school and what the next steps are in the process.
A reminder that the session for parents of 4th, 5th and 6th year pupils will take place this evening, Tuesday 22nd September 2015, 6:00 – 8:30pm at Isobel Mair School.
