On Friday 19th June, Edna Campbell who planted a tree in our old school in 1991 has been invited to come celebrate with us and help plant another tree in our new school.
This momentous event will take place, Frid 19th June at 11.00 AM.
We are delighted to announce that our ex Head Teacher, Mrs Mari Wallace has been awarded an MBE in the recent Queen’s Birthday Honours 2015 for her services to education.
We are all delighted to hear the wonderful news and look forward to hearing all about the ceremony.

Classes Mull and Iona have been looking after our butterfly kit and have invited all pupils in school to take part in this exciting project.
All classes will observe the lifecycle of our very own live butterflies and watch as the caterpillars grow, transform and emerge as beautiful butterflies before they are released in our school grounds.

Today we say farewell to one of our Principal Teachers, Julia Haugh Reid who leaves us today to take up her new role as Head Teacher at Hazelwood School, Glasgow.
I’m sure you will all join us in wishing Mrs Haugh Reid best wishes in her new post.

Today we say faewell to Mr Hay who leaves us after 3 years at Isobel Mair School.
Mr Hay has secured a promoted post, senior CDO at Netherlee Nursery.
We wish him well in his new post.
At today’s assembly we had a rehearsal for our Easter Service.
We also celebrated some of our recent pupil sporting achievments, at the West of Scotland Swimming Gala for pupils with a physical and or visual impairment and cross country events.

Class Whalsay and Class Tiree are very busy preparing for the Community Unity “Sensational Childhood” show.
This afternoon they have been ironing their t-shirts for the performance.

Classes Tiree and Whalsay have been busy recording a new episode of MAIRwavesfm.
This week they took part in a Peace March with St Cadoc’s and Crookfur primary schools as part of the World Day of Social Justice.
They recorded during the assembly and also during the Peace March. You can listen to it here.
